Irwindale Speedway, otherwise known as the House of Drift, played host for the closing round of the 2012 Formula Drift season. The 7th, and final episode of Driven to Drift Season 4, caught up with each of the Scion Racing teams and drivers as they prepared for their last run of the year.
Ken and the GReddy Racing team went into the final event solidly hanging on to 8th place in the standings, despite working with an entirely new car and having to coalesce as a team on the fly. Conversely, Fredric Aasbo and the Need for Speed team had a podium finish right in their sights after having had two seasons to work with both their car and one another. Meanwhile, for Tony Angelo, drifting through Irwindale was his way of showing that he's always been a driver first and foremost, despite his time away from the wheel.
All three teams and drivers advanced to the Top 16 in the same event for the first time all season at Round 7. Although they would move ahead no further that day, it left little doubt that they would each continue to find future success. Driven to Drift will be back to capture their journey to the top when the 2013 season starts next year in Long Beach.
