The Bighorn Scenic Byway starts at the town of Shell on US 14. For motorcyclists, this is as near to a perfect road as you are likely to find, as it climbs nearly 5,000 feet / 1,500 metres up to and over Granite Pass on the way to Burgess Junction. The first clue you get as to how good the road might be is the view of it heading straight for the Bighorn Mountains, then it dawns on you that it must climb quite steeply. The road is a series of sweeping turns that are a joy to ride. This is one of a series of videos Gary made during his 21,475 mile USA road trip on his motorcycle.
