Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on October 27th 2012.
(See the 3D version here: vimeo.com/54057842)
For the real meaning of Dia de los Muertos, Wikipedia describes it as: A Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.
This year's celebration at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery had over 20,000 people in attendance. I guess it is safe to say that Dia de los Muertos has definitely become a part of the Los Angeles pop culture. It was a much better way to celebrate the afterlife than going to a funeral. It is a positive affirmation of what awaits us all at the end of the road. Now put your 3D glasses on and watch it again. :-)
