Casillas is a ride from downtown Rosario, Argentina, to Nuevo Alberdi, a shanty town placed on the north of that city. There a participative-art-performance had taken place: some families had been summoned to a debate about XX th Century abstract-art and as an outcome of that they had painted on the front of their own huts a modified version of a well-known painting.
The points of departure were works done by Richard Lohse, Carmen Herrera and Alfredo Hlito, among others.
The people who participated in the performance were paid by a sponsor. The amount of money they had made is the same a professional painter would have asked for that work.
