Inspired by Social Enterprise Day 2012, Kiosk asked members of our UK mobile community to record videos with their thoughts and feelings on charity today.
We found people increasingly prefer to give their support in terms of time rather than money. They are frequently influenced on which choice of charity to support by their friends, their employer, and by social media. And in general, there is a feeling of being time-poor and an increasing preference for charities that make it easy to engage in small but meaningful ways. Potential donors, fundraisers and volunteers are often looking for new and interesting models for engaging with charities digitally, such as Just Giving and Easy Fundraising.
