As an editor I find myself editing rhythmically. For my Critical Studies class I was given the freedom to explore any project I wanted. My mentors recommended that I attempt an experimental video. I developed a visual pattern based on montage theory. I than collaborated with composer Tyler Helland to create a composition based on a pattern of six (the amount of cameras documenting the musical performance). I documented the live recording of the composition and proceeded to edit the video based on musical patterns (scale and rhythm). Though some cuts are irregular the six monitor installation effectively decontextualized the visualization of both the performance and the song.
