About the Green Giant series:
The Green Challenges has three primary objectives; education, transparency and outreach. The first thing we look for in a Green Giant is that their website is educational and provides tools and resources so visitors to their website can learn not only about their program but about the standards, organizations and associations that the Giant adheres to and affiliates with. Additionally we look to find downloadable reports, press releases and program details. Second, we are looking for the Giant to have a transparent website, in that it has a clearly defined policy statement, is easy to navigate, appears high in search rankings and includes contact information. Third, we examine a Giant's outreach program including any external initiatives including social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), press releases and multi-media including videos, images and interactive programs.
Every Green Giant will also be profiled further as part of its Industry Index and Best Practices Report. The report will address the challenge objectives for all organizations in the report and look at program's in depth through the seven principles of organizational sustainability.
