We were on the road for 14 days with 17000Ft Foundation, going village to village, school to school, setting up libraries, meeting children, talking to teachers and parents - getting a glimpse of their lives and the state of schools and education system in Ladakh.
We observed, shot and recorded life as it unfolded around us in these hamlets. Some of the schools had as few as 20 students all the way till eight grade. Teachers with little children living away from their homes in far flung places. And illiterate parents hanging on to the sliver of hope that these schools will provide the children the means to a better future, than their parents.
But, that's not all - there is so much more to this landscape and the lives of these people that we know so little about. Here is a sneak peak through some of the sights and sounds captured by us.
