The Mandala Project.
Start with a seed.
Make a mark.
Repeat it 8 times around the seed, with care.
Make another mark.
Repeat it 8 times around the other mark.
Again, with care.
You can make any mark, as long as you repeat it around the circle.
Errors don’t exist.
Draw what you feel.
It will come to a natural finísh.
The number 8 is one of the most misunderstood of all the numbers, but it is more significant than at first it seems.
The effect of not taking care in the present may not affect the mandala in the moment, but can have huge implications later on in the bigger picture.
It is necessary to be conscious and aware, with repeating marks, it is easy to act automatically and without concentration.
Unintended marks only become problems when you dwell on them.
Change is progressive and incremental, but inevitable.
The end of the mandala appears to arrive at many points, only to start again and flourish with even more beauty than it did the first time.
All the marks in the mandala are inter-related.
It is not the content that is important, but the relevance of that content when it is put into context.
Replace the words ‘the mandala’ with ‘life.’ You’ll see what I mean.
There’s no time like the present.
