Artists emerged as unexpected and unsung heroes of this last year. The public art that appeared in 2020 showed the resilience and creativity of our community and it was inspiring to see. Early pandemic plywood murals covered boarded up windows, and bold social justice statements blanketed the street — Seattle painters responded to the crisis in a beautiful way.
