I am interested in the expansion and transformation of our city landscapes.
In 2007 urban populations exceeded rural ones.
During my residency in Casablanca last September I became aware of the rapid expansion of the commercial developments around the city.

This short video was shot during the evening Adhan (Call to Prayer) on the rooftops of the Old Medina trading hub. It stands as a panoramic document of a mosaic like ancient skyline, with the modern city promising to swallow it’s old means of commerce.

This work was created in response to the ‘And’Art Casablanca 2012’ program ran by Terre Sans Frontiere.
