Banner - Lights

The act of expressing words on paper through video is not a new idea.
It has been used to portray multiple different ideas and actions; whether it be one man flipping through lyrics in Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues, or a young Amanda Todd with suicidal thoughts she felt she needed to get off her chest.
I wanted to explore this idea, but greatly expand on it. By using many different people and following a song that involves showing the world what you have, this piece is a familiar idea with a new view.
'Banner' is a song about being who you are, and displaying it to the world.
Each of these is an individual. They all have something to say, and in playing with the song they are helping spread the same message the same thing.
None of these individuals were asked to wear anything special, do anything, act a certain way. I just simply told them to hold this sign and look at the camera. This is why this song is a perfect match for this method of communication. They all have a story to tell and the fact that they had the guts to show themselves to the world prove that they are comfortable in their own skin.
