Every November, the holy city of Pushkar becomes the site for one of India's most magnificent gatherings, the Puskar Camel Fair. Gypsies, sadhus, and snake charmers alike travel from all corners of Rajasthan to take part in one of India's last great traditional melas. Throughout this five day event, camel herders and their families descend upon the fairgrounds, practicing the age old traditions of buying and selling of their livestock, while musicians and dancers offer a cup of Chai and showcase the best in Rajasthan's colorful culture.
