Ever wondered about what happens to the water that goes down the drain once you empty a sink, have a shower or flush the toilet? Well not many people do, however there are some dedicated men and women within your community who work hard to maintain a complex process that treats sewerage that assists in protecting the environment and public health. Stewart Casey of Gold Coast City Council's Merrimac Sewerage Treatment Plant is one of those people that works within this business which is at times challenging from a number of perspective.
