Managing HR for IT: Hiring IT staff requires many steps, starting with translating organizational goals into human resource requirements and ending with successful applicant selection and recruitment. In the process, you will need to evaluate applicants’ credentials carefully and thoroughly. Many times, you will only have a resume or personal reference available for initial screening. During the interview, your challenge is to assess whether the applicant can fulfill the duties required and will integrate well with the organization. Often, you will have to decide on whether to accept or reject applicants based on limited information.
