The Fordham Urban Law Center was launched November 27, 2012, with part 1 of a two-day symposium, "The Bloomberg Administration's Legal Legacy." Sponsored in conjunction with the New York City Bar Association, the symposium examined how the Administration of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg utilized legal tools and addressed legal issues in implementing several of its signature initiatives, including livability and public health initiatives, land use and sustainability, public safety and security, and education.
