Way back when I first came to visit New York in early 2010, I made sure to make a point to go see Central Park. An amazing rectangular island of green in the middle of the nation's biggest city, it has a weird, otherworldly, almost Narnia-like vibe to it. It's really enhanced in the fall though, when the sun hangs low in the sky, shining through the trees losing their leaves.
Then again, maybe I'm overly sentimental! Technicolor Hearts came in from Austin and wanted to do a session. Coming in all the way from their host in Jersey, they came to the park loaded up with all their luggage (which turned out to work in our favor seeing as I needed some tape) and played a couple of songs standing on rocks and walking through a tunnel, which created a mini-auditorium of sorts.
