A certified Sofer Stam-Torah Scribe, Rabbi Zvi Chaim Pincus speaks on the process for writing a Torah, the materials used and the mitzvah of participating in the writing of a Torah. He spoke at Tiferet Israel, Dallas, Texas, where he was writing the first words of the Torah dedicated to Erven Rovinsky. Rabbi Pincus received Rabbinic Ordination from Beth Medrash Govoah in Lakewood, NJ. He specialized in Safrut, the scribal arts, and travels throughout the world lecturing on the topic. Writing the Torah is commanded to every Jewish person. They can fulfill the command by participating in the writing of a Torah honoring another person.
