If God said it, it will happen!
“Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.” Isaiah 46:9-10 (NLT)

“But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.” Matthew 24:8 (NLT)

Jesus acknowledges the importance of prophecy
“Then (Jesus) said to them, ‘These are the very things I told you about while I was still with you: everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the writings of the prophets, and the Psalms had to come true.’” Luke 24:44 (TEV)

God eliminates all cities and chooses Bethlehem
“But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel will come from you, one whose origins are from the distant past.”

Micah 5:2 (NLT) Bethlehem population about 1000

“At that time the Roman emperor, Augustus, decreed that a census should be taken throughout the Roman Empire…

All returned to their own ancestral towns to register for this census.” Luke 2:1&3 (NLT)

“Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod.” Matthew 2:1a (NLT)

Judas’ betrayal
Zechariah 11:11-13; Psalm 41, Jeremiah 32:6-15

God indicates the Messiah will be: (1) betrayed, (2) by a friend, (3) for thirty pieces, (4) of silver, that will be (5) cast onto the floor, (6) of the Temple, and (7) used to buy a potter’s field.

Messiah will come before the temple is destroyed
“Now listen and understand! Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven will pass from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem until a ruler—the Anointed One—comes. Jerusalem will be rebuilt with streets and strong defenses, despite the perilous times. “After this period of sixty-two sets of seven, the Anointed One will be killed, appearing to have accomplished nothing, and a ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple…”Daniel 9:25-26 (NLT)

The temple will be destroyed
“Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” Matthew 24:1-2 (NIV)

Titus destroyed the temple in 70A.D.

Acceleration of travel and knowledge
“But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4 (NLT)

Israel will be greatly persecuted, but survive
“In all history there has never been such a time of terror. It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel. Yet in the end they will be saved!” Jeremiah 30:7 (NLT)

Israel will become a desolate desert
“They will exclaim, ‘The whole land is devastated by sulfur and salt. It is a wasteland with nothing planted and nothing growing, not even a blade of grass.” Deuteronomy 29:23-25 (NLT)

Israel in one day?
“And give them this message from the Sovereign LORD: I will gather the people of Israel from among the nations. I will bring them home to their own land from the places where they have been scattered.” Ezekiel 37:21 (NLT)

“Who has ever seen anything as strange as this? Who ever heard of such a thing? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin, her children will be born.”

Isaiah 66:8 (NLT) Israel became a nation May 14,1948

When Israel comes back it will be more prosperous
“I will increase not only the people, but also your animals. O mountains of Israel, I will bring people to live on you once again. I will make you even more prosperous than you were before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”

Ezekiel 36:11 (NLT)

Israel will become invincible
“On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”

Zechariah 12:3 (NIV) Jeremiah 30:3-7; Zechariah 14

The temple will be rebuilt
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand” Matthew 24:15 (NIV)

World hunger & earthquakes will increase
“There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.” Matthew 24:7b (NLT) Luke 21:11; Revelation 6:5-8
