It never happens
Installation (digital print + video & sound)

Originally presented as a site-specific work for Sound Development City exhibition at The White Building, London, during Paralympic Games, in "It never happens" I used a video recording of a football match in a village on the mountains in Mexico (Tapalpa, Jalisco), in which the participants, obviously amateur players, try to score a goal that will never come. The screen or TV was placed in front of a window that looked towards the Olympic Stadium, offering two opposite views: the great business that the super heroes represent, and those who are looking to spend their time in the most unproductive way: playing sports whit no further target than having fun. The sound of the stadium lightly suffused these low class players with glory, those who will never enter a location of such magnitude, unless they pay to see a show.

A project developed with the support of Sound Development City (sound-development-city.com).
