Latvian immigrants in the UK, after WWII, came in two waves. In the late 1940’s and then, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Their way here and their establishment within British society has never been portrayed earlier. Concentrating on their place in Northamptonshire this poetic film explores the trauma of migration, the individual responses to British society, as well as their continuing relationship with Latvia - especially in regard to questions of cultural identity.
