Socially responsible hospitals should care for everyone in their community, especially those bearing the health impacts of structural racism and poverty. Yet our hospital system is still very segregated in some cities, which, as we saw during the Covid-19 pandemic, exacerbated racial health disparities and led to preventable deaths.
Which hospitals are doing an exceptional job at caring for people of color and low-income people in their community, and what can we learn from these hospitals about providing equitable access to care? Find out at the Lown Index Inclusivity launch, when we reveal the most inclusive hospitals in America for this year.
