This is a video I shot and produced for a friend/client for his Kickstarter campaign. The goal was to show the products he created as well as what kind of person he is "behind the scenes." There is a lot more to his story that I wasn't able to include in the final cut. However, we will use that footage in future, more "commercial" versions.
The interview was shot in his shop in ridiculously cold conditions. We had to turn off the space heater during shooting because it was too loud. I used a 3-point lighting setup to light the subject and the tool bench and lavalier mics for the audio. Pretty basic setup actually.
The product shots were done separately using my cheap light box. I used my Nikon D7000 and a variety of lenses including a 18-105mm zoom, 35mm, 85mm and 60mm macro. I purchased a cheap rotating display stand for the motion of the mason jars. The fabrication shots were not done by me and were shot on an iPhone. The quality isn't as good, but the shots were key to helping understand the overall story and the fabrication process.
The music is "Adrenalines Racing - Version C" from Digital Juice.
