The SIRF 2011 Prometheus Awakes festival was held in Greenwich and Stockton. I was among some of the students at Teesside University who did the animation for the festival which was then projected onto a building.
We had a pipeline set up between Maya and Houdini, where Maya was used for the animation and Houdini for the smoke simulation and particle effects. To get data between the applications we actually ended up using my Max Cache plug-in. This meant we had to export the animation from Maya to Max, and then used my plug-in to get the data into Houdini. The reason for this was because we had difficulty at the time getting the data from Maya to Houdini.
