Next stop, Friends Drift Inn Kitchen just outside Pikeville, Ky. Joyce Pinson teaches us how to make some of the most delicious friend green tomatoes I have ever eaten and shows us her wonderful garden. She and her husband Charlie host a dinner for us in their big red barn and we share a giggle!
Last stop is Shelton Farms in New Market, Tn where they grow local produce as well as stone-ground flours. We go Blackberry picking with Danny Shelton who teaches us how to pick the very best ones! Eating fresh blackberries picked straight from the vine is like mana from heaven, so don’t miss out- join us on our travels next week!
