FAST SLOW is an ecosocial art project combining architecture and wellbeing for shifting consciousness toward interconnectivity while designing, building and inhabiting a home.
Irish Arts Council funded research on a FAST SLOW DIY off-grid house is under development. This is combining FAST advanced architectural construction with SLOW traditional natural building techniques.
Supporters of FAST SLOW include: Ecosocial Artists: KSCA and Haumea Ecoliteracy; Environmental Activist Group: Cork Environmental Forum; Education/Network groups: CCAE and EBUKI; Advanced Timber Construction: Coillte and Future Building Initiative Monash University; Natural DIY Builders & Engineers :Cloughjordan Ecovillage, Ellikai, Harrison Gardner, and The Hollies Centre for Practical Sustainability; and Ecosocial wellbeing advisors: Know Yoga, and Wisdom, Love & Beauty.
Working across different sectors of the industry we will establish a common language that is pivotal for cultural change. This will be disseminated through: advanced ecological design of the FAST SLOW house and a new FAST SLOW holistic wellbeing approach made available through education programs and an open-source DIY manual.
