A variety of aurora from the night of November 23, 2012 over Fairbanks, Alaska. For a while I was shooting almost due south with the moon in frame, but then I turned around to find that the entire northern sky had erupted in lights. It was absolutely incredible over the cabin for a while. At around 1:43 the aurora begins to pulsate directly overhead. We see a lot of aurora up here, but nights like this are kind of rare.
