What would the 4th of July be without a parade - AND - no 4th of July parade would be complete without zombies, pot-heads, kings and queens, and a bunch of Fidel Castro’s - - - huh? Wait a minute… let me think about that one again…
Oh yeah… it’s a 4th of July parade all right, but it’s the annual Doo-Dah Parade through Victorian Village and the Short North - this year the 26th Annual (third year for this one) Doo-Dah parade again showed the “lighter-side” of society. CowTV was able to talk to parade participants during the pre-parade line-up (lots of MENSA members here). Mind you, all you have to do is show up and you can be in the parade. Case in point, CowTV found a guy from Arkansas (that’s “Arkansaw” for all you literate Einstein’s out there) who just happend to be in town on the 4th (he was the guy with the umbrella in case you were wondering).
The Doo-Dah Parade is somewhat difficult to describe. There’s the parade itself, the parade participants, and the parade watchers (I don’t even know where I was going with this, so nevermind… ). As always, it’s easy to see that everyone got a smile and a laugh… and even a head scratch or two (again, think guy with the umbrella). Whatever the case - it’s just Doo-Dah! Enjoy the footage - CowTV is pleased to once again video document this special event (phenomenon) for everyone. This year, we added a little contest - see if you can count the number of shameless plugs and one for our very own “Don’t Be a DICK” t-shirts. You really can order one you know.
O.K…. go DO THE DOO! Leave a comment or three - either way… enjoy!
