Samurai traditions seen through art, (armor, clothing and weapons).
The Samurai code is called Bushido; it's composed of 7 principles: Justice, Bravery, Compassion, Courtesy, Honesty, Loyalty, Honor.
This first segment shows their coat of armor, under-vestments, swords, sword guards, emblems chest guards and weapons. Antique photographs from late 1800 early 1900's and modern replicas of old armor are also shown.
The Samurai were a cast of warriors/vassals to landlords from the early 10th until their peak on the 16th century. Some Samurai customs still exist today in society and are part of some martial arts and Japanese culture.
