Helios Interactive developed a gesture controlled "ball flight simulator" with our partner CAA for Emirates Airline at the US Open in 2012. The experience was live for two weeks of the event and had thousands of participants. Guests were able to "serve" a ball on center court and after winning the game, they would hit the ball out of the stadium. They were then transported high above the earth with various Emirates locations scrolling by underneath. Their movements in front of the screen changed the camera angle in the 3D environment allowing them to change perspective. The ball eventually landed in one of the Emirates locations and presented a picture post card image on the video wall for their photo op. A post card image of their experience was then sent to an email station and up to a visualizer wall in an adjoining room where that days images and tweets were shown flying through the clouds.
