They say it's not the technology but how you use it. And the tools now offered to cinematographers from flying drones to motorized dolly/sliders and portable Gopro cameras is awe inspiring stuff. Our interaction with these tools hopefully helps make our imaginations realized.
I wrote a short script about a bored wedding videographer who builds a robot with his Russian engineer friend to film weddings-controlling it from the comfort of his living room . The technology worked perfectly but ultimately failed as the robots were constantly fraternizing with the brides maids. How we use the tech is the difference between art and average.
