370 The Pure Word
Mat 7:13 "Go in through the narrow gate; for the gate that leads to destruction is wide and the road broad, and many travel it;
Mat 7:14 but it is a narrow gate and a hard road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
There are good things to come if you follow the narrow road. This gate was typified in the Mishkan (Tabernacle) that Yehovah commanded Moshe and the Children of Israel to build according to certain precise specifications so that HE can dwell with them (Exodus 27 8-21). At the entrance to the Tabernacle was a gate 30 ft wide. This first gate separated the Tabernacle from the world. Only certain people could go beyond this first gate into that Holy place. Into this first room was found the slaughtering place for the burnt offering. Beyond this was the bronze basin for washing. As you got closer to Yehovah the way began to narrow; began to get tighter. Yeshua was referring to the account at Numbers 22:23-25 when he spoke to his Jewish audience about the road leading to life being narrow. His audience was no doubt aware of the analogy at Number 22:23-25. The curtain separating the second room of the Tabernacle was only 15 ft wide. Not all Levites were allowed to go into this Holy place. It contained three objects special to Adonai, the Show Bread on the right, the Menorah on the left and the Incense. Beyond the third curtain into the smallest room was the Holy of Holies. There was only one object in this room, the Ark of the Covenant. The High Priest is the only one who was allowed to enter into this third smallest room, once a year after putting on special garments.
How do we know what is holy? Psa 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. Aren’t those that are saying that you don’t need torah anymore, forgetting the father’s word? Our hearts overrides the decisions that we make. The world will entice you to do certain things that are not lined up with the word of God. It is important that we recognize that God’s purposes for us are different from that of the world. If we are not careful to hold on to his word, we can lose the reward that God has for us that is even greater than we can ever imagine. Mat 7:13 "Go in through the narrow gate…there are many forms of Christianity and Judaism, but there is only one way, one, truth, and you must go beyond the 3rd gate to meet with Adonai. Take a journey with us and find out about the Narrow third gate that Yeshua was talking about.
