Rocket Matter’s QuickBooks integration is the most technologically advanced and secure integration for a legal billing system. This feature will allow you to simply sync your billing data in Rocket Matter to QuickBooks with just a couple of clicks.

Quickbooks for Windows 2009 or later Pro, Enterprise, or Premier Edition
And A Rocket Matter Account enabled for Quickbooks.
First, let’s talk about how this sync works. What we will be doing is sending aggregate Rocket Matter billing data to the Intuit App Center. Intuit is QuickBook’s parent company and its App Center is a cloud technology. The information sent from Rocket Matter contains the total amount invoiced, the total of payments received, and other financial data.
Then we will bring that information down from the Intuit cloud into our QuickBooks application itself. It’s just like synching to your bank account, safe, secure, and encrypted. Our integration allows you to transfer your financial information without what we call “download, import, and pray.” Working with a Quickbooks export file is never fun.
The initial QuickBooks set up will be done with your friendly product specialist here at Rocket Matter. During this set up you will have a few options to customize the way your data is organized.
For instance, we support both accrual and cash basis accounting. If you aren’t sure what this means, we can help you out.
Another flexible option we support is trust accounting. If you use this feature inside of Rocket Matter, we can transfer that data to the right accounts in Quickbooks.
We can work with accounts you’ve already established in Quickbooks, or if you prefer, Rocket Matter can create accounts for you on the fly. They will be listed in your QuickBooks chart of accounts once the initial sync has taken place.
Once you’re set up with the help of a Rocket Matter product specialist, its time to start running invoices and collecting payments. From this point on, only new Rocket Matter billing data will be able to sync with QuickBooks.
Now that we have processed some invoices and collected payments we can start our sync. To start the sync, we will first go to the Billing dashboard in Rocket Matter. Here we will click the button that reads “sync to QuickBooks” and we wait until we see a green confirmation bar.
Next, we move over to QuickBooks. In this version we select the online services option from the application toolbar. Then select manage services and ‘start sync now’. And just like that, your information is pulled over from Rocket Matter.
You are now able to sync your Rocket Matter information to QuickBooks as often as you’d like, with just a couple of clicks. Instead of spending your time transferring data, or struggling with cumbersome export files, you can spend your time servicing clients and increasing your bottom line.
