On December 12th, 1912 the people from the Mese area in the former German New Guinea had first contact with Rev. Sinabell (Rev. Ernst Schnabel from Neuendettelsau Bavaria/Germany). Coming by boat from the Lutheran Mission in Finschhafen, he brought the Gospel to this ethnic group. One hundred years later, on December 12th, 2012 the arrival of the first Missionary was celebrated by over 2500 people at the Boana primary school near Lae in Papua New Guinea. In SingSings and drama performances they looked back to the days their forefathers encountered an unsung culture and a new belief. The Documentation starts with footage of the rehearsal of a tambourine group and ends with the procession of the delegates and SingSing groups into the main event area.
