This is a video I shot and edited for MCO 502 at The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism during Boot Camp 2012.
This video is part of a series all related to urban development in downtown Phoenix for the MCO 502 final project: The Change Project. I interviewed Erin Carroll of Songbird Coffee & Tea House to see what she thought about the Roosevelt Point apartment complex being built a few blocks away. I went in for a follow up a few days later and happened to catch Audrey De Hoyo making her marketing pitch to Carroll. This video explores the attitudes a small business owner has toward urban development and how some of those tensions are alleviated.
I'm uploading it here to share with the subjects in the video, not because I think it's necessarily awesome, though I hope you'll leave a comment if you feel strongly about it one way or another -- constructive criticism is appreciated. I will endeavor to post more awesome videos in the future, too. Thanks for watching.
