In a world first, Fashion Palette, the Sydney based company, which has made a name for itself by providing designers with a unique platform to bring together buyers, media, industry insiders and consumers in a breathtaking runway spectacular each year, is taking 10 local designers to New York.
The Fashion Palette New York (FPNY) 2012 line-up included some of Australia's most celebrated designers -- Akira Isogawa, Toni Maticevski, and Bowie Wong, Bettina Liano as well as Bruno Schiavi. Rounding out this elite group are contemporary designers Nomiki Glynatsis Couture and Betty Tran as well as eveningwear label, Jatine and accessories designers, Samantha Wills and Specs Addict. Together for the first time on one runway these designers showcased their Spring Summer 2013 collections in an exclusive Australian - only show at Canoe Studios in Manhattan, New York.
An innovative initiative, FPNY is the brainchild of Fashion Palette creator Sonya Mefaddi, who after four successful years in Australia has decided to expand the brand globally, with New York the first stop.
"Australia has some of the world's best designers," Says Mefaddi. "Fashion Palette New York will open new doors of opportunity for our designers."
