This is a visual love letter to New York, a docu-montage if you will. A gift to my family.
This personal project began on our way to New York. I looked out the window of the plane, and there it was greeting me: a gorgeous sunrise. At that very instant and for whatever reason, this song from the film 500 Days of Summer immediately came to mind. I just remember being inspired by that moment and wanting to capture its raw energy through visuals.
It's rare these days to have complete creative freedom. For this personal project, I wanted to take it all back to the early days of just having fun with the camera and hopefully have a story to tell later.
Dedicated to my family. Merry Christmas!!
