Brain Zoo was contacted by EA to do the Intro and Outro cinematics for their game Tiberium. They supplied us with the models and motion capture for the body and face animations. We then set about creating the scenes and blocking out the cameras and animation according to the animatics. A good amount of massaging was needed for some of the motion capture, and certain walks were tweaked quite a bit to get the right feel for the character. All vehicles and lots of the grunt reactions were hand-keyed as well as some of the more complex movements like climbing into the vehicle. The final shots were bundled up and rendered using their engine, then composited for that extra flair. In a few shots there are a few render and audio kinks that never were worked out. Sadly, the project never really saw the light of day; but I feel there was a lot of really great visuals and I had a lot of fun animating my sequences here.
