Liz Clark, Assistant Director for Information and Technology at Leicestershire County Council, provides an overview of the Leicestershire Multi Agency Information Sharing Hub. The MASH team provide a coherent picture of a family, and relevant information about family members, to practitioners who are working with them, to enable them to tailor services more appropriately. During the pilot phase, information is being shared between Children's Centres and Health practitioners in two areas within Leicestershire.
This video case study forms one of the tools development by the Improving Information Sharing and Management (IISaM) exemplar project. Led by Leicestershire, Bradford and Greater Manchester local authorities, the project has developed tools to help public sector agencies share information appropriately and securely, to inform better service provision. The IISaM exemplar project is funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government, and works across central government, the LGA, the ICO and other agencies.
