Where we learn how to handle arguments
By Shaykh Hasan Ali
This is a clip from the coming soon lecture "No one understands me"
In many households the parents complain of their children's temper/sulking/tantrums. Yet when the parents argue with one another [or others], they display the same reactions in front of their children which the children pick up on.
When children get older, parents start to lecture their kids, but the best form of advice is to practically demonstrate the correct etiquette of dispute in front of the children.
Once this is actively practiced, so many problems which creep in adolescence can be prevented, and many sleepless nights and counselling bills can be prevented.
May Allah make it easy for us. Ameen.
--About the full lecture--
This lecture was a very useful lecture for the parents of today [and also the youth growing up], Shaykh gives us a great insight into the changing times and how we need to modify our approach [with family] to maintain an Islamic and peaceful home environment and family. Sadly many homes are being broken due to misunderstanding, miscommunication and generation gaps. This needs to be understood and corrected before it's too late.
