For Microsoft we introduced Windows 8 in the Netherlands. Amongst all other media we also developed all Out of Home creatives. Our objective was to show the dynamic and personal way Windows 8 works and the diversity in devices Windows 8 works on, from desktops, laptops, tablet and convertibles.
First, we did this by making an impact, introducing Windows 8 on the largest interactive screen in The Netherlands, on Rembrandtsquare in Amsterdam and connecting with a broad audience.
But how do you do this is in a a single print creative. We decided to use the old technique of lenticular printing in a very unconventional way. In three states we not only emphasized the liveliness of Windows 8 through their 'live tiles', but also showed three different devices, showing the same Windows 8 startscreen literally proving "It's up to you".
Needless to say, like a child is fascinated by a lenticular picture, passers by where fascinated, stopped to look again and a lot of buzz surrounded all placements.
