Objects and performances apparently refering to a very concrete meaning dissolve in their contextual embedding. Framing and narrative line reveal a twilight zone where no clear visual distinction can be made between holy and profane objects and tourist or believer. Even tough it is very obvious what is depicted it is unclear what you are actually looking at.
The ambiguity is resembled in the presentation of the video itself: while referring to the christian pictorial nar- rative tradition of the triptych, the 3 channel split- screen format makes it possible to present multiple images at the same time, creating a rela- tion between them. Actions, images and reference frames dissolve into a following; what has been newly ap- plied element in the previous image becomes frame of reference to the next image; opening up a narrative of cross-referring images, movements and icons.
