In Spring 2011 I worked with team to produce and submit an amusement park ride design to the Walt Disney ImagiNations contest. Our team of an artist, and animator, and two computer scientists envisioned an amusement ride featuring characters from the movie "WALL•E" that incorporated a moving VR pod, similar to an industrial driving simulator. Walt Disney Imagineering selected our proposal as one of six finalists to present their projects at WDI headquarters in Glendale, CA.
My contributions to the project included:
* Planning the original concept
* Editing the story and presentation script
* Compositing artwork and rendering video assets
* Designing and editing the final Keynote presentation
* Creating logos, posters, and other original art assets
Our team was also featured in a Wisconsin State Journal news article: host.madison.com/wsj/lifestyles/article_46b40768-af04-11e0-8859-001cc4c03286.html
Designed in collaboration with Liana Zorn (lianazorn.com), Samuel Schlenker (samuelschlenker.com), and Rachina Ahuja (mywebspace.wisc.edu/rahuja3/web/).
The project was conceived by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Team and created for the 2011 Walt Disney Imagineering's ImagiNations Design Competition. This project is the sole property of Walt Disney Imagineering and all rights to use these ideas are property of Walt Disney Imagineering. The competition is a way for students to showcase their talents and for Disney to identify new talent.
