I find if unappealing to drive visuals with audio. Often the connection is too immediate. The audio becomes the driver and the movement unsurprising. Here the task is to add some variation to the audio generated keyframe series by using it to drive curves made in Maya nhair. The curves are then stroked. Its a start. Feedback is always welcome.
If you want to try it - the general procedure is to open the audio in After Effects > turn it into keyframes > copy the sequence > paste it into Excel > "Fill Down" whatever Mel command is required (currentTime (AEframenumber); move 0 (AEsoundkey) 0; > copy the array out of Excel> Select object > Set a key (otherwise the new keyframes will no write) > paste into the script editor> and run the script.
Make certain the FPS is the same in AE as Maya.
