You can read the Complete Video Transcript as follows: Hi, my name is Daniel Smrokowski and I’m a Journalist for SpecialChronicles.com. And for the past two months, I’ve covered a group of individuals who have overcome adversities in college.
This multimedia blog consists of three profiles of individuals who are Athlete Global Messengers for Special Olympics. You will learn about their challenges in college and how they have overcome obstacles in higher education.
In talking with these fellow Special Olympians, and drawing on my own experience in Special Education, I’ve discovered that many Special Education teachers, may have good intentions, but encourage their Special Education students to go to a transition program for on-the-job training; and they may not encourage their Special Education students to go to college.
These are the stories of Global Messengers that show that anyone, despite any label they may of been diagnosed with, can empower others while achieving higher education.
