The intro for Global Encounter's "The Project" done in the style of a generic movie trailer. This is the St. Louis version. There is a different one for The Project in Denver, but the only significant difference is the shot of the arch is replaced with a shot of Denver.
I shot this with my new Casio FH20 (first time I've gotten to use it for a real video). HD looks great with enough light, and even the indoor shots look pretty good (the grainy shots were taken from a different video that was shot in SD on a different camera).
Color correction was done with the Final Cut Pro 3 wheel color corrector. I downloaded the magic bullet trial, and while it was really nice and intuitive, I could replicate the looks that I came up with for these shots fairly easily with FCP, but FCP and Motion will allow key framing, so I don't think I can warrant dropping the cash for MB.
The terrible masking at the end was done with Apple Motion as well as the logo animation and the shot of the St. Louis Arch.
Also worth noting, I shot two shots in slow motion, one at 210fps and the other at 420fps.
