Improvisation using found pieces of paper with fragments of text and the MacroTurnTable. A contact mic and a piece of paper are used to produce sound through a Max/MSP patch.
Our MacroTurnTable is a DIY device to get live video images from small objects for our a/v performances.
It is a motor driven turntable equipped with a Fire-I cam and a USB microscope, controlled by custom software based on Max/MSP.
The Max patch is doing vIdeo tracking to find objects placed on the turntable and bring the objects in front of the cameras. The video images are being sent to a realtime video processing patch and then to a video projector.
The position of the objects on the table and the luminance of the image are used as control data for a realtime audio processing patch.
