Film Africa 2012, the UK’s largest annual festival of African cinema and culture,
brings you more than 70 of the best films - past and present - from across the
continent, many of them UK or London premieres. Taking place from 1 to 11
November across the city, and hosted by Hackney Picturehouse and The Ritzy in
Brixton, Film Africa’s 2012 programme highlights the themes of Elections and
Democracy, Motherhood, Continental Crossings, Sport, and Sexualities.
Thirty-five filmmakers will be in attendance to lead Q&As, discussions, and
free professional workshops. There will be educational screenings and
fun family activities by day, and African music to keep you dancing
through the nights!
