On October 31, 2012, Clackamas County elections worker Deanna Swenson was caught tampering with ballots, allegedly filling in Republican votes on ballots where fields were left blank. This scandal drew national attention to Oregon.
We examined many hours of video footage from the elections office, and discovered that there wasn't a single security camera covering the main ballot processing area. That means that Swenson's alleged crime occurred off-camera. However, we were able to piece together footage that we believe shows what happened after Swenson was caught.
