I'll admit it -- I'm embarrassed to post this. First of all, it is not a cutting-edge video. It's basically audio with word-slides added. Second, it's me with pain dripping from my voice. It's me talking about hard lessons in thankfulness when I feel like so much has been taken and so little given. It's me slogging through the mire of miscarriage, infertility, childlessness...not at the end of a triumphant journey, but in the midst of the muck on a confusing path.
What you hear in this soundtrack is what you find at the end of the second movie in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy: An unlikely hero(ine) walking steadfastly toward a goal, though it seems so far away. Yet she knows she is not alone on the path; she has a good friend walking with her.
This is what I shared with some friends the Sunday before Thanksgiving, on the 4th anniversary of losing our child.
